War of the Worlds....

While grammy and Beck were sitting on the porch....

We weren't sure what to expect....

And then the skies opened up!

We miss you!

At  Grammy and Grampy's house for the week while Doug's in Idaho. So..this means I have nothing to do all day but take photos , play,knit, read and work out a bit...I suppose it's the closest to a vacation I can get!  Doug, we are pining for your return. Papa leaves for Ironman

Tomorrow papa leaves for Ironman Coeur d' Alene in Idaho. That's right...he's off to potato country to race. According to the weatherpeople, the water temps are a balmy 49 degrees...which is colder than the Maine ocean right now. I forgot to mention that he's also out there to support first-timer Rick...who has yet to do a triathlon...period. I'm sure he'll be fine on his second open-water swim ever. Sorry, Rick, if you're reading this. Either way, Beck and I will be sending good vibes to the two of them. 

 

As for Beck....he's weighing in at just over 18 pounds now. His hair is totally blond now, except in the back, where he has a perpetual bald spot from his sleeping position. He's also had his first few bites of banana and some watered-down cereal, which he seems to like. 

  

 

15 Weeks

Almost four months old...crazy. What you don't see in these photos is the millions of black flies swirling around our heads. That's right..it's black fly season here in Maine, which means it's ten times worse where we live. It's a full on sprint from the house to the car nowadays.
