More New York...

Our John Deer Baby. We decided that it's never too late, or too early, to be what you might have been.
This picture below is to prove that Beck his first experience at the Saratoga race track.  All the excitement and betting put him to sleep.
Thanks to Glenda, Judy's Boss, Beck is now prepared for Pumpkin season.
After Donkey rides and horses, Beck needed a bath. He learned that water is not solid...though he tried his best to grab it as it ran out the faucet.
We finally gave in to his pitiful, longing glances at our empty corn cobs at dinner.

"Vacation"

We were gone for four days on a mini-vacation to Vermont for a race (more pics to come) and then on to New York to visit Judy. The race was fun, and both Doug and I did well with our respective relay teams. However, the highlight of the weekend was Beck's first trip aboard the Leo, the donkey. We had beautiful weather, and it was as relaxing as we could have asked for!!

Just Kidding.

Well...it was almost summer there for a day. Yes, this photo is really from this morning at 8:00 am. Hats and sweaters were a necessity. However, I am not complaining. I love fall, and it's the first time we attempted the trails with Beck this "summer"... cold = no bugs. Yippeeee!! An absolutely gorgeous morning hike...even Kona and the cat, Athena, tagged along with us.

Summer is here!

It feels like summer is finally here...these beautiful blackberries are from our lovely neighbor's garden. They are truly delicious...Beck and I are headed down tomorrow to pick more!

Pittsburgh and Pies

A sneak peak of some images from this past weekend at the wedding. The weather couldn't have been more beautiful or the pies more delicious!

Congratulations again to Rick and Robin! Stay tuned for a web gallery of the full event!

Pittsburgh...round one

We had fun in Pittsburgh during the weekend of Rick and Robin's wedding...I think the performing musical fountain at Station Square, behind us, was a favorite. It was beautiful, perfect weather...while at home in Maine there were flash floods from 4 inches of rainfall in a twelve hour period. Glad to have missed that.
Pittsburgh is NOT the city we thought it to be...it seemed very clean and a lot of fun. We'll definitely be back! More photos to come!!

Topsham Fair

Beck had his first fair experience last week. I think we were more interested in taking pictures of him than we were in what was going on at the fair though. He seemed to enjoy himself...especially with the animals. Personally, I've never seen a pig that big...he must eat almost as much as Beck.
