As Beck nears his third birthday, I am, of course, feeling a bit nostalgic. I find myself looking back through the early pages of this blog, wondering how three years could have passed so quickly. If it weren't for photographs, I might have believed that the time had passed overnight in some strange dream. Cleaning off the desktop of my mother's computer, I came across this one image of Beck dozing on my parents' couch that never made it to the blog. I am estimating his age to be around 3 months, which is a month younger than Cora is now.

Happy New Year!
Well, despite a ridiculous amount of stress in our lives right now, I can always count on photos to bring things into perspective. Here are some recent ones of Cora, who is changing daily. We made it through Christmas, and are working on getting back into a routine. We had a lovely holiday, and everyone is healthy. Some important memories to jot down: Beck's favorite song was, and still is, "Holly Jolly Christmas", which he knows all the words to. But, the best part is, he'd prefer to repeat the lyrics "Kiss her once for me" over and over instead of singing or listening to the whole song. We began the tradition of "The Elf on the Shelf", except we used a "Nisseman" (elf) figurine from Denmark, and he would leave treats for Beck in his advent calendar if he was good. But really, when is that child ever not good??
We feel very blessed coming into this new year, and have a renewed drive to keep our businesses going and get a new house built on new property...away from disrespectful neighbors.
